Shroud of Fear 2 continues the murky, fragmented world introduced on the first Shroud of Fear mixtape (self-released in 2021). Assembling a community of collaborators across languages and scenes, the record features production by O$VMV$M (with additional work from Paulina Korobkiewicz and Intel Mercenary), saxophone by Lorenzo Prati, and vocals from Bogues, gnome GOD, Manonmars, Yeo Limone, mutil umila, Intel Mercenary, Birthmark, DAKN and Franco Franco.

Built from field recordings, iPhone captures, MS-DOS hits and soul loops stretched to surreal breaking points, the record trades in lo-fi ambience, whispered horror and drifting warmth. Its construction was slow, intentional, and deeply collaborative—even when the artists weren’t in direct contact. Themes of anxiety, altered states, money, love and grief thread through voices in English, Spanish, Italian and Arabic.

Late-night sessions, laughter, ambient clutter—glasses clinking, verses caught in half-sleep—are all part of the atmosphere. What emerges is a fogbound collage of shifting emotions and haunted textures, bringing a long-simmering vision to full shape. A moment in time, caught on tape.
